Dr. Sue Fluhr

Occupation: Veterinarian

Year Started: I opened Tender Touch Veterinary Care in November 2005.

Education and Previous Experience: Originally, I graduated in 1983 from University of Wisconsin Milwaukee with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After graduation I work as a nurse for 10 years, primarily in hospices care. I then had a change of heart towards starting a new life with animals. I applied for University of Wisconsin Madison and graduated with my Doctorates of Veterinary Medicines in 1997. I then worked on the South side of Milwaukee for 6 years and then in Brown Deer for 2 years. Finally in 2005, I took a big step in my career direction and open Tender Touch Veterinary Care.

Awards and/or Community Involvement: I have received "Seeing Eye Veterinarian of Year" in 2004. In addition, I have received "Volunteer of the Year" in 2005 from Golden Retriever Rescue of Wisconsin (GRROW). In which, I have also fostered some smart and loving Golden Retrievers recently.

Pets: I own 2 cats and 3 dogs. My cats are named Frisky (age 17) and Yancy (age 15). In addition, I own 3 Golden Retrievers named Aubrey (4 years old), Jelly (4 years olds), and Samantha (13 years old).

Most Rewarding Part of My Job: I enjoy educating and helping clients keep their pets healthy. Of course, I enjoy the most is puppy kisses and when a kitten purrs happily.
